As a principal artist with Opera Australia, Natalie Jones has performed - Juliette in Romeo et Juliette, the title role in Manon, Konstanze and Blonde in The Abduction from the Seraglio, Musetta in La bohéme, Gilda in Rigoletto, Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Queen of Night in The Magic Flute, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Eurydice & Cupid in Orpheus in the Underworld, Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, Casilda in The Gondoliers, Hero in The Love of the Nightingale, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Morgana in Alcina and Bubba in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll. For State Opera of South Australia, she has sung Woglinde in Der Ring des Nibelungen and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni; for West Australian Opera she sang Adele in Die Fledermaus and the title role in Patience; for Opera Queensland she has performed Adina in L'elisir d'amore and Queen of Night and for the Vienna Volksoper she sang Queen of Night. Natalie has performed both Gilda and Queen of Night for National Australian Tours with OzOpera and toured Japan as Christine in Ken Hill’s Original Phantom of the Opera.

Most recently she has performed Sprunt Sister in the world premiere of Eucalyptus (Jonathan Mills) and Aunt Norris in Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park for Victorian Opera.
In addition to her work on the operatic stage, Natalie has performed extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand as a soloist on the concert platform.
Natalie is a passionate voice teacher dedicated to the development and mentoring of emerging artists. She teaches singing at Firbank Grammar School in Brighton and is an Associate Teacher in Classical Voice at Monash University.
Qualifications
Natalie has a Bachelor of Music (BMus Hons) from the University of Melbourne, a Masters Degree in Classical Music (MMus) from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy (MA Vocal Ped) from the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.​​
​Education
Following her undergraduate studies, Natalie was a member of the Young Artist Program at Victoria State Opera. She won the prestigious Herald Sun Aria Singing Competition in 1995 and travelled to London where she studied under Prof. Janice Chapman. Janice has been her principal vocal teacher and mentor for over 20 years and Natalie’s own teaching methods are greatly influenced by this association.
She has completed Janice Chapman’s Training in Classical Voice Courses at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London in 2016 & 2017 as well as 2018 at Chethams School of Music in Manchester. She has successfully undertaken the Complete Course in Estill Model Levels 1 & 2 in Cardiff as well as Dane Chalfin’s Primal Voice in CCM course in Manchester.
Prior to opening Peak Vocal in Melbourne, Natalie was the owner and director of Sångstugan, a voice studio providing individual voice lessons, vocal workshops and masterclasses predominantly in the Stockholm/Uppsala regions of Sweden.

She has a current Working With Children Card and is a member of ANATS (Australian National Association for Teachers of Singing).
